Meet the Kids Pastor
Sherry Mattix
Sherry is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God and has been the Life Kids Pastor since October of 2021. She has been married to Charley Mattix for almost 30 years. They have 4 children, 1 son in law, and 2 grandchildren. She has been involved in children’s ministry since she was a teenager. She and her family served as Assemblies of God missionaries to Paraguay for 12 years. She has been an RN for 21 years, working in ERs here in the states and hosting medical clinics while serving as missionaries overseas. She has a passion to see kids come to know Christ as their Savior and to help them grow in their faith, so that they can become an active and vital part of reaching their community and the world with the hope of the gospel. She believes that every child matters and that God has a purpose and plan for each of their lives.
Seymour Life Kids Ministry is devoted to the spiritual growth of children. It’s our desire to see young children develop a relationship with Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior through the teaching of the Bible, learning to worship and pray, and encouraging healthy relationships with others. It is our desire to see families grow together at church and home.
BGMC Boys & Girls Missionary Challenge
Our Life Kids worked hard in 2021 raising funds for Missionaries to tell other boys and girls around the world about Jesus!
Kids Camp
We’re gearing up for 2023 Kids Camp at Cross Pointe Camp & Retreat Center! This years camp will be June 26-30 We will be having several fundraisers throughout the Spring and Summer to raise funds to send the kids to camp.
